1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, company name, and billing information. This is used to provide and manage your Lipic account.
Email Data
Lipic connects to your email inbox (Gmail, Outlook, or Zoho Mail) with read only access. We scan incoming emails to identify financial and transaction related messages such as invoices, payment confirmations, receipts, and bank notifications.
- We only process emails that match financial patterns.
- Personal, social, and unrelated emails are never read, stored, or processed.
- Email content used for transaction extraction is processed in real time and not stored in raw form.
Financial Documents
If you upload bank statements or other financial documents, we process them to extract transaction data for reconciliation. Uploaded files are encrypted at rest and in transit.
Usage Data
We collect standard usage analytics such as pages visited, features used, and session duration to improve our product. This data is anonymized and aggregated.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Lipic service.
- To identify and categorize financial transactions from your email.
- To reconcile transactions against your bank statements.
- To generate accounting reports and ledger entries.
- To send you service related communications (never marketing spam).
- To provide customer support.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: Trusted partners who help us operate our infrastructure (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing), bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with advance notice to users.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data and processed transaction records for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days. Backup copies are purged within 90 days.
